Spring is in the air here at Three Point Four Media Ann Arbor HQ. Hauled my laptop outside. Took a few client calls in the sun. Went for a bike ride. Made a playlist (more on that later). And, like any good and hearty Midwesterner, I forced the issue of spring by sitting outside with a gin and tonic when it was 46 degrees and sunny.
Oh, and I got a jab! (I qualified as a caregiver for my old man, who is fighting cancer.) What a huge relief. My deltoid hurt for a day, that was it. Thank god for science.

A Video (And A Book)
Three Point Four Media friend and collaborator Julian Sancton, who put his beautiful French to use for this Three Point Four Google project, has a book out in May. In the video above he talks about his research process for Madhouse At the End of the Earth. (He went to Antarctica and spent countless hours poring over ship logbooks and crew diaries.) The book, which tells the story of an absolutely bonkers arctic expedition in the late 1800s, is going to be extremely awesome (he hasn’t sent galleys to Three Point Four’s leadership team yet—we’re just going off advance praise).
Pre-order it at your local bookstore.

A Playlist
This playlist is good for: spring cleaning, drinking a negroni in the sun, doing your taxes, driving on the freeway in the rain, thinking about summer. (Programming note: the picture above is looking north onto Lake Superior right before the thaw began.)

An Article
“We found them: They’re the worst team ever”
Baseball is BACK and this story about the ragtag Yonkers Hoot Owls in the summer of 1995 is a delight.

A Race
Pinned a bib on for The Great Bear Chase 25k up in Calumet, Michigan. The race, Three Point Four’s debut (zoom in for that custom kit), was a huge success. Now that ski season is over Noah can’t make fun of me until the snow falls again.
